Hello there!
You can see some of the dolls in real life on our youtube channel:

When I was first married (ages ago, now divorced) my husband and I rented a room from this lady and her daughter. She made clothes and other items from her garage and she would sell them in downtown LA at the fashion district. You can sell anything and everything there. I was in awe at her set up, just like a small warehouse!
At the time I had no interest in sewing or any kind of crafting whatsoever but my husband insisted that I try it. She taught me how to work the machine and how to make different items such as blankets, clothing, dolls, etc. Let me tell you she was tough! She expected perfection and had no issues making me start over and over again. I learned how to make different items and as I saw the projects come together I was overjoyed!
Eventually we moved to start on our own and I would make items for family and friends as just a hobby, mainly gifts for birthdays, Christmas, baby showers, etc. It wasn’t until some years later after my divorce and layoffs from work that a friend had suggested I try selling the rag dolls for extra income. They are what brings me the most joy. They come to life, they are a little girl’s best friend. They are there for tea parties, outdoor adventures, someone to talk to when they get in trouble, someone to hug and squeeze when they don’t feel well or need to get a shot. No plastic or vinyl doll can do that.
When deciding on the dolls I remembered shopping for my daughters and being wary of small parts. I remember looking at other items and seeing a danger in everything! I want my customers to feel reassured in knowing none of the rag dolls have small parts. Their faces are completely embroidered, there are no buttons or any other small parts, their clothes don’t come off and they are washable. So very important as I know how rough little ones can be!
I still hear that lady in my head yelling about having everything perfect and to be honest I still find errors no one else would notice, but at the end of the day it’s all well worth it especially when I read the reviews or get messages from my customers as to why they buy the rag dolls. Some of the stories are just so touching.
I am very blessed and thankful to all my customers for allowing these dolls to be in their little ones lives. Thank you!
Crystal
