About: CountryDesignsNThings
I am a grandmother of 7 and great grandmother of 1. Currently Iive on a small farm in East Central Missouri, but we bought a ranch in Western Missouri that we are currently in the process of moving things to and building a new home. The old one was built in 1870 and is leaning and the foundation crumbling, floor are buckling and the ceiling are coming down - so not fit to live in. I am originally from the beautiful state of Wisconsin. I have a few Arabian horses.
I must destash many magazines which are duplicates of my collection for research and some of my Arabian books, used as reference material as well as good reading information about the breed and its people. I will be listing way over 1000 Arabian magazines, along with some Saddlebred, Paint & Quarter Horse Journals, Horse World, Western Horseman, Morgan and other horse related magazines. I also will be listing some Arabian Horse Yearbooks, Scottsdale Show Programs, U.S. National Show Programs, farm brochures, Stallion cards. Since we will be moving, these all must GO.
I also have a large collection of Breyer's Model Horses that will be going to new homes through this site. Some in boxes, and some, I had taken out before I learned that they should have stayed in them. They have not been played with - they were my collection solely.
Another reason I am selling here is that I make handmade jewelry to benefit two different 501c3 non-profit charities and their activities. All jewelry sales will have a portion of the sale price donated to that group, and I ask that my buyers choose which charity, they want their purchase to benefit. They are Mutts N Stuff - Pit Bull and Bully breed dog rescue - they also rescue some cats. I have been an occasional volunteer with them for a number of years now and their efforts have saved dogs from certain death from Mexico, Kuwait, and several dog fighting busts in Missouri and other states. I have both adopted and fostered some wonderful dogs from the.
The second group is Arise Equine Therapy who works with our veterans on readjusting their lives back home, after having served our Nation in the wars in the middle east and have been suffering PTSD. Their program has them working with their therapy horses as well as a professional staff from Mental Health backgrounds. They would like to get the program to the point to where the Veterans will not have to pay anything out of pocket to get the therapy and treatment so many need. This farm is actually right next door to me so I am very familiar with the owners and the facilities.
Both of these Charities are very dear to my heart, and I want to help them out financially as best I can. I do not work and my husband is now retired.
