You are buying 20 Rattlesnake Orchid root systems. Rattlesnake Orchid are one of the most common orchids native to eastern north America. It is found from Florida to Nova Scotia west to eastern Oklahoma, Minnesota and Ontario. It is an ever green terrestrial herb with variegated leaves. It is a creeping plant that divides on the ground surface growing on rock shelves. It prefers mild to moderately acidic soils. Rattlesnake Orchids flower in mid July-early September. Excellent for reclaiming wooded areas and rock gardens. Hardy in zones 4-8
