Transferware Historical Scenes of Early Detroit Birthplace of Ford Motor Car. SPODE dark blue and white plate. Appears to have been displayed rather than used at the table.
This collector plate made for The J.L. Hudson Company By Spode is titled "Birthplace of Ford Motor Car" and is "one of a series of twelve historic scenes recalling the early days of the city of Detroit" designed by William Ogg FitzGerald, as stated on the back of the plate.
Approx: 10 1/2 inches across.
The graphics / scene is intact without loss of color. It retains a glossy shine without stains on both sides of the plate. No chips, cracks, fleabites or repairs.
