Offered here is a very beautifully and original piece of art glass in the form of a drinking vessel with a handle. Executed in the "Brutalist" manner, an art movement that began in the 1950s and began to decline in the late 1970s, but is now, once again, resurging as being a compliment to the Mid Century Modern era.
Because the item was mouth blown and hand tooled, it is irregularly shaped and measures approximately 3 inches tall, with a base of 3 inches wide (4-3/4 inches with handle), and a mouth opening of 2-1/4 inches in diameter. It is signed with initials under the base and dated '82. unfortunately, I know nothing of the artist.
Aside from an un-tooled rough spot inside the upper handle where it is attached to the body, the item is in perfect condition.
