The Mountain Rose apple tree was first recognized in the late 1950's in Airlie, Oregon. The Mountain Rose apple trees produce lovely pink flesh apples that are often sweet, crisp texture, rich flavor with a beautiful aroma. The Mountain Rose apple is medium size, elongated with pink blush and yellow skin. Flesh varies from deep red to pink, splashed white. While not as flavorful as Pink Pearl, it is tart and pleasing. The plant you are buying is 1 year old. Plant is growing in individual container. Shipping it with roots wrapped in wet media during dormancy (November-April), in pot with soil April through October. Keep roots moist all the time.
Plant will be sent secured in the box. It has developed good root system and ready to be transplanted to the permanent location.
I prefer to mail plant material on Monday or Tuesday (Rather beginning of the week) - only to assure that it will not sit on a shelf in the post office over the weekend. Please check your State local laws for plants entry. Due to U.S.D.A. regulations, some plants cannot be shipped to TX, FL, AZ, HI, CA, Puerto Rico.
