Hosta are grown mainly for their beautiful foliage that ranges in color from stunning blue-greens to chartreuse and from huge solid leaves to delicate variegated varieties. Strikingly variegated leaves brighten shaded/sun gardens or summer containers. A vigorous grower is excellent at the garden's edge or as a small-scale ground cover also attractive combined with yellow-flowered plants, ferns, or astilbes. Showy purple flowers.
