This is a Vintage copy of a book that is now out of print and very RARE! It was reprinted some years ago, as a revival, print-on-demand from the publisher, and the price was about $30.00 per book. This is the ORIGINAL, and very hard to find!
The picture of the book cover was taken with the flash -- the rest are in natural light.
This book is in Very Good used book condition. There is no dust jacket. Some wear on cover edges and a few small stains on the cover. Pages inside are clean. It is printed on fairly sturdy paper, not brown or brittle. Some writing in front cover, original owners name and address, and dated June 2nd, 1922, then this was partly crossed out and a later owner added their info. One colored frontispiece, a portrait of the heroine, enclosed in a diamond ring! The book appears lightly worn, some fading/ light staining of binding and first few pages, probably due to dampness, but there is NO musty odor. Overall better condition than "reading copy". Binding is sturdy, no loose pages, and pages are clean. This book has been out of print for many years, and these original copies are hard to find! This is a charming book and an old-fashioned story, enjoyable by young people or adults.
