This pendant stone, Mimbres Valley Rhyolite, is the very essence of ancient southwestern United States' volcanic activity. The stone is set with dark copper wire on a genuine leather cording with copper-coating.

I originally was intrigued with this stone because so often its design created by nature reminds me of buffalo herds on the plains in its layers, or Southwestern scenes of cactus dominating the horizon. Also, I live only 65 miles from Mimbres Valley, NM.
