African American: Lady With A Feather

From the Seymour Mann collection, this ceramic sculpture of an elegant African-American lady measures 14" high by 4" wide. Her hair is upswept in a chignon, covered by a pink and gold beaded cap. The bodice of her full-length gown is pink, covered with gold beads. The tapered full-length skirt is ivory colored and opens mid-calf to reveal black and gold-strapped evening shoes. She is carrying a pink and gold beaded clutch in one hand and a white feather that measures 9" in the other hand. The statue stands on an off-white wood base.
