Satchell Paige was a dominating pitcher in the Negro baseball leagues until he became the oldest major league rookie at age 42 in 1948. Paige was a World Series champion with the Cleveland Indians in 1948. Satchell Paige was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1971.
