History Behind Doll: "Akha" is another name that this tribe uses to call themselves. The tribe can be divided into 3 groups Ekoh-Ulo, Ekoh-Loymi and Ekoh-Pami Ekoh are found mostly in the provinces of Chiangrai and Chiangmai. The Ekoh in Thailand have their houses built on mountain ridges which receive full sunshine and fresh breezes. Ekoh houses can be recognized as distinct from those of other tribes by their larger roofs. The house it self is raised high from the ground. The space beneath it serves as a storage from the ground. The space beneath it serves as a place to keep animals. Every member of the Ekoh family comes to spirit house when they join in worship or perform any rite
