item note: Green covers have edge wear and smudging around the edges. Gold gild lettering is still in great shape. Gold gilding on top page edge. Silk ribbon place marker. there is an Ex-libris plate on the inside front cover, Abraham C Bird is the name. The three pages between the front end paper and the preface have been taped back in long ago from the look of the tape that was used. Inside the book is in great condition for being 117 years old! Thepages have some minor foxing and discoloring, but are in excellent condition overall. We have made this sound much worse that it really is.
