Mr Optowsky, Sr founded the modest shop in 1918 that he still operates. Mannie joined his dad in 1936 to learn the business. After serving 4 years with the US Navy he relocated the machinery with the purpose of manufacturing only sample cases so his dad could devote all his time to the retail outlet. Business continued to grow, and the new modern store is now a showroom for a select line of luggage and leather goods and personal leatherware. Included is the feature line made by ABC.
