The skirt is gray in color. The color of the skirt looks like it has some green in it, on my monitor. It is an actually a gray shade.
The skirt buttons up the front, and has two different style buttons on it.
One style of the buttons look like they are made out of a lightweight metal. They have a nice design on them, which is an acorn attached to some leaves.
There are also very cute little faux animal antlers buttons. These are made out of some kind of hard plastic. They are not real horn.
There is elastic in the waistband just at the sides of the skirt.
The permanent label in the skirt says: Original Alphorn Trachtenmode. There is a small label under that label that gives the size as 42. There is another label on a side seam, which says that the fiber content is 70 % schurwolle, and 30% polyamid, and futter is 100% acetat.
Schurwolle is virgin wool, and polyamid is a synthetic fabric. Futter means lining, and acetat translates to acetate.
The skirt does have a lining in it, although the lining has cut outs at the sides of it. That is the way that the lining was made, possibly this was done to reduce bulk.
The skirt buttons up the center front. The top button on the skirt has come off, however, I do have that button and it will be included with the outfit.
The skirt has a waistband, which has two areas of elastic at the back side waistband areas. The skirt is a gathered skirt. The fabric is gathered into the waistband in pleats. The buttons up the front of the skirt alternate between the metal buttons, and the faux antler buttons.
The first four button holes have colored binding, which alternates between a cranberry color, and a dark gray color. The remainder of the buttonholes are plain buttonholes.
There is a design embroidered on one of the sides of the skirt, at the far side of the skirt, near the hem area. The design has a leaf, and what looks like it might be some kind of nuts in it.
The skirt doesn’t look like it has been worn much, however please note that holding the wool fabric of the skirt up to the light I saw two very small holes in the fabric in the front. There is one tiny hole at each front side of the skirt, near the bottom of the skirt. One hole is close to the hemline, and the other one is several inches above the hemline. The holes are very small, about ¼ of the size of a eraser at the top of a pencil.
Also, the top button is detached. However, I do have that button and it will be included with the outfit. It just needs to be sewn back on.
I do have a co-coordinating jacket to this skirt listed separately, as it is size 46, and the skirt is a 42, therefore they may not be able to be used by the same person.
