Hal Chase (Throwing Dark Cap) 1909 - 1911 T206 Piedmont tobacco baseball card.
This century old, vintage baseball card has been professionally authenticated and graded by Sportscard Guaranty, LLC. This original collectors card is graded SGC 50 VERY GOOD / EXCELLENT (VG/EX) 4 condition.
"Prince Hal" was widely viewed as the best fielding first baseman in baseball during the first decades of the 20th century. Chase played for the Yankees, White Sox, Reds, and Giants, finishing his career with an impressive .291 lifetime batting average. During the latter part of his career, Chase became involved in corruption, betting on baseball games and being indicted for his role as the middle-man in the Black Sox Scandal (though Chase was NEVER convicted of this offense). Chase was a controversial ball player to say the least.
Price - $120.00 (includes FREE SHIPPING!)
