Up for bidding today is for 1 Packets of Pinto Bean Seeds. I have packaged the seeds in a clear plastic packets, with a very generous portion of seeds inside. These are fresh seeds that were picked this past fall and I have kept them safely packaged up. These seeds can be planted by sowing directly in the soil after the last frost. These beans will grow very quickly and can be harvested green four to six weeks after sowing. Sow seeds directly into beds about 3 to 5 inches deep.
The blooms of the bean plant is attractive to bees, and butterflies, so be sure to use care when harvesting the beans. These bean seeds are oval-shaped, tan beans, which have a light brown mottled spotted pattern on the shell. Beans should be picked every three or four days. The pods should snap easily and contain seeds that are not completely developed. To help produce a greater yield of beans, be sure to pick the beans frequently.
Pinto beans are a popular choice for Southern and Mexican cuisine. They may also be eaten as a green, snap bean when young. They are also delicious when used to make refried beans.
Even though it is fall, its still not to early to begin thinking of seeds to plant in your yard or garden next year.
