Please note this coat is vintage and does have some wear and tear and light damage to it.
There is one label in the coat which says Davidow. There is no size or fiber content label.
The coat is clearly a small size, and looks like it has a shaped fit. The waistline dips in and the seaming on the coat makes it appear that it would fit best on a small frame.
The fabric appears to be a wool tweed. The fabric is really pretty and the tweed nubs are in lots of different colors. The fabric is quite sturdy, overall.
The ties at the neck are permanently attached to the coat. They are lined with the same fabric as the coat lining.
The buttons are really attractive on this coat. They are metal and have a lions head on them. One of the sleeve buttons is off, but I do have it and it will be sent with the coat.
The pockets are actual pockets. They are open at the top. The flap with the button is just decorative, not functional.
The coat has a center back hem vent. It buttons shut, and the buttons do not show on the outside. The buttons are just generic, plain buttons on the vent. A few of the buttons are loose and could use a tightening.
Please note this coat is vintage and does have some wear and tear and light damage to it.
There is a hole in the fabric on the left hand side pocket. My opinion is that due to the nature of the fabric, this hole is somewhat camouflaged and is not immeditately noticeable. This hole could be rewoven to close it up, of course.
There are at least three areas along the hemline where the fabric shows wear and has damage.
There is a small area at the hemline where it looks like the fabric may be slightly soiled.
There is an area at the collar top where the lining has become loosened from the coat fabric. Nothing is ripped, but the lining will need to be stitched back down.
There are two areas where the collar folds back that have wear to them. The fibers are slightly seperated, so they are holes and they are right on the fold back line.
The corner point of one edge of the collar has wear to it.
There are quite a few holes in the lining. There is one at the top back of the lining. This is the largest hole. There are a few holes in the lining near the hemline area. There are several small holes sprinkled throughout the lining. The lining is still mainly intact, and quite sturdy though, and is still functional. It does not need replacement at this point, in my opinion.
I see no signs of wear along the sleeve hems or along the front edges and buttonholes of the coat.
The fabric of the coat is such that, in my opinion, even with the damage noted, none of it unduly ruins the coat, and this coat could absolutely be worn just as it is. Of course a bit of stitching or reweaving would be even better.
