This is a very nice jacket, with some small areas of wear that would benefit from some brown leather polish.
The label inside the jacket says: Cooper Type A-2, Under exclusive manufacturing by the Cooper Defense Contract Division, U.S. Air Force.
The label sewn into the side seam inside the jacket says: Shell: 100% genuine goatskin leather, lining: 50% polyester, 50% cotton.
This jacket is made of very nice leather, and appears to be well constructed.
The jacket zips up the front. The jacket has knit ribbing at the cuffs and waistband. The jacket has two front pockets, with flaps that snap closed.
The pockets do not have the side entry opening on them. They only open at the top of the pocket.
The collar ends snap down onto the jacket, and there is a hook at the bottom of the collar, at the neck, to hook it shut.
This jacket does not appear to have been worn that much.
The jacket does have some wear to it, so it might benefit from some brown leather polish in several areas.
There is some pilling on the knit ribbing at the cuffs and waistband, as well as on the inside lining. The knit ribbing on these jackets seems to be susceptible to pilling.
Overall, the leather has very little wear to it, however there are a few areas of wear.
There are a few small areas of wear on the leather on the front flap edge. These areas are scuffed and nicked, and would benefit from a bit of brown leather polish.
There is a small area with wear in the leather at the top point edge of the front flap. This area has a few small nicks in the leather, and is also slightly discolored and has a dark appearance, so this area would benefit from a bit of polish.
There is a small amount of wear on the top front edge of each collar, where the leather is slightly cracked and discolored, and so these areas could benefit from a bit of brown leather polish.
There is a small scratch in the leather on the back of the collar, at the center back, or this may be a scar that was in the leather when the jacket was made, but either way it is difficult to see. However, a little brown leather polish would help cover this.
