Spokeshave handmade of Cocobolo and other hardwoods

This is a one of a kind reproduction spokeshave made in my shop with a very fine iron that has a flat surface. I have a unique spring loaded adjuster that works great on these shaves.
Beautiful oiled finish that these photos really don't show but I'll try to get some better pics. up.
These hand made shaves are a dream to use. I can shave end grain on hardwoods with ease.
I started making these after wearing out the maple and boxwood antiques I used in my windsor chair making.
I judge a tool by the pleasure I get in use but these tools are great workers and are beautiful to look at too.
