#1 - POLA 401 - Coke Oven and Gas Works
300 x 165 x 220 mm / 11.8 x 6.5 x 8.7 in
In this building, coal (in an airtight chamber in the
absence of oxygen) is cooked at high temperature
over burning coal and converted into coke.
During this process, a gas containing many impurities
is generated and siphoned off. This gas is directed to
another building to be processed. (see below)
Pola includes a truck and wagon in this kit
along with a small bag of coal.
Note: This box has been opened to photograph
the truck and wagon. While trying to retrieve the
vehicles, 3 parts came loose from their sprues.
The loose parts have been taped to their sprues.
No parts are missing.

#2 - POLA 851 - Coke Cooling Tower and Bunker
250 x 140 x 170 mm / 9.9 x 5.5 x 6.6 in
The cooling tower is used to allow the coke to cool
and to load trucks and wagons. The bunker is used
to break the coke into pieces.
Note: This box has been opened by me to measure.
All parts are firmly attached to their sprues. No parts
are missing.
#3 - POLA 852 - Gas Separation Building
with Cooling Tower
155 x 116 x 80 mm / 6.1 x 4.6 x 3.2 in
In this building, the gas from the coke oven is cooled.
Impurities are removed using water and chemicals.
#4 - POLA 853 - Administration Building
145 x 105 x 115 mm / 5.7 x 4.1 x 4.5 in
Includes a bicycle rack, 6 bicycles, dumpster
and interior light assembly with holder.

All parts are firmly attached to their sprues. No parts
are missing.
#5 - POLA 855 - Chimney
65 x 45 x 320 mm / 2.6 x 1.8 x 12.6 in
#6 and # 7 - FALLER 180530 - Factory Fence with Gates
Each kit contains 8 fence pieces
and 2 main entrance gates.
each fence piece - 148 mm / 5.8 in long
entrance gates - 79 mm / 3.1 in wide
total length of fence in 2 kits without gates - 2368 mm / 93.2 in
These kits are the same as POLA 850.
When Pola became part of Faller ten years ago
Faller discontinued Pola 850 and re-issued this
kit as FALLER 180530.
#8 - VOLLMER 5725 - Gas Tank
210 x 185 x 145 mm / 8.3 x 7.3 x 8.7 in
This is where the processed gas created
in the coke oven is stored.
Pola also offered POLA 854, Gas Tank, to
go with the other Pola items in this listing.
This Vollmer gas tank is significantly more interesting.
Note: This box has been opened by me to measure.
This kit contains many small parts. These parts have
been put into two zip-lock bags. No parts are missing.
These are plastic KITS to build the items shown in the pictures.
The manufacturers may have painted or 'weathered' the items for the pictures.
Except for the truck and wagon included in Pola 401, the manufacturers
do not include locomotives, train cars, vehicles, figures or trees in these kits.
All of the kits in this listing are long discontinued.

NEW in Sealed Boxes and LIKE NEW in Opened Boxes
Items were purchased new from a retail hobby shop.
I am the only owner of these items.
Except for the fence kits, I have had these kits for about 15 years.
Pola 401, 851, 853 and Vollmer 5725 have been
opened by me to measure parts.
Opened boxes are old and show various degrees of shelf wear.
All other items are in sealed or shrink-wrapped packages.
I have double checked all open boxes - AND …..
NO PARTS ARE MISSING
Stored in a clean, heated and air-conditioned space.
