This dated 1976, 2nd Edition, recipe book measures approx 6-1/2”x 9” with 92 pages, many tips and other useful information precede the numbered pages, plus Index pages and last page is of 1976, 1977, and 1978 monthly calendars.
Colorful photos illustrate each of the 10 (no Table of Contents) categories ... APPETIZERS, PICKLES, RELISHES ~ SOUPS, SALADS ~ MEAT, FISH, POULTRY ~ EGGS, CHEESE, CASSEROLE ~ VEGETABLES ~ BREADS, ROLLS, PIES, PASTRIES ~ CAKES, COOKIES, ICINGS ~ DESSERTS ~ CANDY, JELLY, JAM, PRESERVES ~ BEVERAGES and MISCELLANEOUS! (There are more dessert-type recipes than any other category). Included is a paper with Recipe Corrections for 4 recipes. No ads and is full of typed-format recipes, and recipes contributors names are included - - - and with a book so good that it’s into the 2nd edition printing - - - and with approx 90 different contributors, you KNOW there is a good variety of MANY good recipes!
Since there are way too many dessert-type recipes, I couldn’t pick a personal favorite, so went to a non-sweet category ...These recipes caught my eye:
GERMAN POTATO SALAD
Wash and cook 6 medium potatoes until tender - peel and slice. Set aside.
Dice 16 slices bacon, pan broil - remove bacon pieces and saute 3 thinkly slice onions until transparent. Stir in:
1 cup + 2 Tablespoon vinegar
1 1/2 Tablespoon sugar
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
1 Tablespoon flour
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1 Tablespoon minced parsley
1/4 teaspoon pepper
Heat mixture to boiling, add diced bacon and cook 1 minute and gently add to the potato slices to coat. Serve warm.

Ingredients to Serve 12 (1-3/4 Cup)
Mayonnaise: 1 cup
Chili sauce: 1/2 cup
Indian relish: 1/4 cup
Eggs, hard-cooked and chopped: 1
Horseradish, grated: 1 Tablespoon
Ingredients to Serve 18 (2-2/3 Cup)
Mayonnaise: 1-1/2 cup
Chili sauce: 3/4 cup
Indian relish: 1/3 cup
Eggs, hard-cooked and chopped: 1-1/2
Horseradish, grated: 1-1/2 Tablespoon
Ingredients to Serve 24 (3-1/2 Cup)
Mayonnaise: 2 cup
Chili sauce: 1 cup
Indian relish: 1/2 cup
Eggs, hard-cooked and chopped: 2
Horseradish, grated: 2 Tablespoon
Ingredients to Serve 36 (5-1/3 Cup) Mayonnaise: 3 cup
Chili sauce: 1-1/2 cup
Indian relish: 3/4 cup
Eggs, hard-cooked and chopped: 3

Condition: Good/Acceptable, and I checked EVERY page to enter all the names! (I include ALL names in ALL fundraiser-type cookbooks because I know how frustrating it is to hope and wonder if specific contributors are included in a book, only to find out they’re not, upon receipt.) Front cover and pages are clean, mostly tight to plastic-comb spiral binding, no tears, no chips, no dog-ears, all pages intact - no missing pages. Two defective plastic spirals ... 4th from bottom and 1st from top are broken, that 1st one because of wear to cover at top, and I can’t tell if it’s broken or just loose because that area of cover isn’t attached!? There is similar wear at spine area on bottom, but spirals not affected. The 4th from bottom one is isolated; unknown why spiral is broken because there’s no wear in that area. Thankfully, most all of the book otherwise is tight. Edge and corner wear overall. There is an inked inscription inside front cover - see images. Please don’t let these flaws deter you from seizing this scarce book for posterity, the descendants, future generations of those who contributed the recipes! Books are NOT from smoke-free or pet-free environment. Email with questions or requests. Images are part of the description; please SUPERSIZE them for clarity.

These books/items are not new unless specified new … they are retro or vintage, and some may come with wear and/or smells. I go to extremes, perhaps, detailing each item attributes and flaws, if any.
