It has side panel access so you can check on the babies, It also has a removable dished board that makes it easier to clean. This box also has ventilation holes front and back for increased air circulation. This box can also be used for lovebirds, parrotlets, common parakeets, or any other bird with similar nest box needs. The inside dimensions are 8-1/2" high X 9" wide X 6" deep. Made of #1 1/2" plywood, 5 ply. The entry hole is 2" in diameter, and the perch is 1/2" in diameter and extends to the back of the box. A GREAT MULTI USE BOX. I use high quality #1, 1/2" plywood, 5 ply, Not that thin 3/8" #2, 3 ply stuff that other builders use to save money.
