Must be planted in well worked loose cold soil, just press seeds in or barely cover no more than one sixteenth of an inch and keep ground moist. you should plant around halloween and early February. 

       Grown primarily for its huge decorative pods, this variety produces possibly the largest of all poppy pods, which are great for drying. They are truly giant, as the name suggests, and after the petals fall off the huge pods are a striking sight. The large lilac-lavender blooms are single petaled and the plants grow to an height of approximately 3-4 feet. This is one of the most sought after strains of poppy and certainly one of the most interesting specimens.
