Premiere magazine
Sean Connery - "Back in the USSR"
Alec Baldwin - "Great Balls of Ire"
and loads of GREAT STUFF in this 21-year-old collector's item
Sadly, the urbane Premiere magazine folded in March 2007 after 20 years. It was smart, hep and had a ton of photos, stories and interviews with who's who in Hollywood. Beautiful layouts, glossy pages, smart articles. This issue is from April 1990, and features the men of The Hunt for Red October, which was Alec Baldwin's breakout role. It's also a wonderful edition because it has an insert/foldout to commemorate Oscar's 50th anniversary, loaded with photos throughout the decades of Oscar winners and nominees, including Barbra Streisand for Funny Lady and Liz Taylor for, well, being Liz. Jack Nicholson, Michelle Pfieffer, a special feature on Cry Baby and Johnny Depp, another hot movie and hot actor that year. I shot a number of photos but it doesn't do this collector's item justice. There is a special on old Twilight Zone espisodes with unknown actors who went on to be stars, including Robert Redford, Lee Marvin, Charles Bronson, Burgess Meredith.
The magazine is in good condition: it shows signs of being read and tablewear. The front address label was removed. Every page is intact, with no markings or writing. Even the subscription cards and other inserts are still inside! I have it wrapped in bubble wrap and it will ship inside a padded mailer. This is a big, heavy magazine with extra heft because of all the extras and pull-outs. It will ship parcel post because no one should risk a collector's item to media mail. It is a hefty magazine. Please see my other listings which include rosie magazine's farewell edition in near mint condition and some stained glass supplies.
