This is an incredible Thangka of Painting of the deity Mahakala. The details of this painting are very sharp and real 24 K gold paint was used as an accent. The canvas is very clean. This Thangka was was hand painted in Nepal and I brought it back with me from my recent trip there knowing someone would love to have it.
Mahakala a wrathful deity, although fierce looking in nature as actually a friend and protector in Buddhism and to the practitioner.
There is more history and information about the Mahakala which would be fun for the interested person to look into if they wish.
