Tightly tie the filter around any sized discharge pipe up to 2 inches, 5.08 cm. If you have a smooth pipe, affix a cable tie to the pipe and tie the filter above it. I leave seam threads long and pulled to the inside of the filters, as they will aid in straining.
Years ago I started making my own filters. My filters are larger and the weave is smaller than the aluminum ones I was buying at the hardware store. Simply put, they do a better job!
Recycling Works!
The tulle netting was diverted from landfill by FabMo, an ecologically minded nonprofit. The thread is from a crafter’s recycling store. Any plastic used is recycled. The color of tulle, plastic, and thread may vary, but all my lint traps provide the same great filtering service.
As with any filter, make sure it doesn’t cover the tub drain or the overflow will be a mess. Hike up the filter on your discharge pipe if you need to. Keep an eye on it and replace it when the filter is about 2/3 full so there is no obstruction of your washer’s discharge.
I have several other filter packs available. If you need a cable tie, let me know and I will include one.
I accept PayPal, but can invoice using Square if you prefer.
Most packages will be sent using USPS the next business day after receiving your payment; the same day if possible.
Shipping Included:
I know 'free shipping' is very popular, but everyone should realize that ultimately there is no such thing. No matter how nice I am to the postal clerk, they must be paid. Any business offering it has increased item prices to cover the shipping expense. I would like to be honest about it and say 'Shipping Included'.
Please contact me within ten days of your order date and I'm sure we will find a solution. I charge a 10% restocking fee on returns. Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer, and since shipping is a service provided by a third party, return postage cannot be refunded. Custom orders cannot be returned.
Item Availability:
Many of my items are true one-of-a-kind creations, as I prefer to work with rescued/recycled materials, and I couldn’t make them again, even if I wanted to. I remove sold items quickly after a craft fair. If an item is no longer available, I will try to find a suitable replacement, or refund the transaction with my sincere apology.
