Lakpa Lama Thangka Thanka Tanka Painting Nepal Art

This is a gorgeous Lakpa Lama Thankga painting from Nepal. Real 24 K gold paint and pure silver paint were used in tits creation. Lakpa Lama is a monk and artist who lives on the outskirts of Kathmandu. Actually he is my favorite Mandala Artist. His work is so precise I never notice any flaws with his paintings and respect him very much because I think he strives to be the best. His art is a little more expensive than other artist generally but it is because of the intricate and superior detail.

Ohm Mana Pad Mi Hum are the characters in the center of the painting which is the Buddhist chant to intone the vibration of the universe.

Thangka paintings can be such a reasonable price considering the amount of time and effort the artist put into making them and it is because they not only view painting as a way to make a living but a part of their spiritual practice as well. They feel they are helping the world with the idea that even looking a a thangka can help bring one merit to ones life.
