This is a gorgeous 24 K gold Ohm Thangka Star Painting from Nepal. I brought it back with me from my last trip there. In the center of the star lies the Ohm Symbol and at each point of the star within is contained a character for the Buddhist Mantra Ohm Mana Pad Mi Hum. Ohm is thought to be the sound original sound vibration of the universe. It addresses the fundamental law which all things derive from. The stars interior represents the wheel of Shakyamuni Buddha starting to turn the wheel or unfurl the wheel of his teaching to help lead all people to the way of enlightenment.
This is really a magnificent work of art and will be a beautiful addition to anyone's household.
