The new Nixon penny ......and getting smaller, novelty souvenir coin, MIP. This penny is only about 3/8 inches in diameter. Stamped on front side is a profile of President Nixon, and the date of 1974. To the left of portrait is his name, and above him reads "sold as a novelty". On reverse side is a cabin, and below it is one penny. Appears to be made in a copper material. This novelty was sold to the public to poke fun at Nixon's financial directives. It is mounted in a standard cardboard coin envelope, and is in mint condition.
