This 1967 biker movie marked the end of Jack Nicholson's toiling away in B-movie purgatory. It was his prelude to Easy Rider and the rest is history. No more would Nicholson get second billing, like he does in the wild Hells Angels On Wheels, a 94-minute film with lots of biker footage for the Harley Davidson set.
Nicholson is taken into the fold of the San Francisco biker group who call him Poet, who then gets close to the leader's main girl. Find out what happens. It is a strange ending.
Good action cinematography and many of the extras were real members of the Hells Angels and Nomads of San Francisco. Adam Roark went on to make a number of biker movies. Nicholson in this film has got his style down. See a scene from our YouTube upload here!
