On Hold Dixon Cut. Co. Germany MOP Button Hook Knife c.1890`s

Offered today from my personal collection of high end vintage knives is a very rare and beautiful little Dixon Cutlery Co. Germany MOP Button Hook knife! Handles are a beautiful solid MOP and are in very nice condition with just a tiny crack at bottom end across pin & the other across middle pin on other side. Handle is secure & not going anywhere and cracks not that bad! The main blade with long pull shows some use with tiny nicks in edge which would sharpen out no problem. Some staining expected for age and blade has some closing snap & half stop, but no opening snap. Blade is firm though in open position with no play! Other blade is the botton hook which has slight half stop only! Main blade marked on tang DIXON over CUTLER over Co. and estimated age is late 1890`s. These knives were very popular with people who worked in the sewing industry & nice ones like this one in this condition are very rare, so don`t miss out! Bolsters are nickel silver and in great condition too. This would be a wonderful addition to any collection of rare vintage MOP knives.
