On Hold Canton Cutlery Co. Ohio Picture Ad Knife c.1879-1930 Rare!

Offered today from my personal collection of high end vintage knives is a very rare Canton Cutlery Co. Canton, Ohio Equal End Ad knife. One side reads "Compliments of Swenson-Willhard Lumber Co. LARAMIE, WYO. The other side has two Ad windows & one on left reads "Carvy Asfaltslate SHINGLES", and the one on right reads "The Shingle That Never Curls". Now is that neat or what! Both blades marked at tang CANTON over CUTLERY CO. over CANTON. Both blades show sharpening & some stains & large blade has some tiny chips out of edge which will sharpen out no problem. Large blade has good snap both ways but smaller blade is lazy. Bolsters are nickel silver and are in decent shape except for one side which shows a burn mark and stain on one picture frame. The back spring shows some rust on that end which should also clean up. Canton Cutlery Co. was in business from 1879 to 1930 and mostly made novelty type picture knives, which are highly sought out by collectors! I estimate this knife to be an early 1900`s model. A very neat rare old knife offered at a very fair price, so don`t miss out! This would be a wonderful addition to any collection of hard to find picture handle Ad knives!
