"The Fairy Nekos of Spring" is the title of this print. The accompanying note card has their story on the back: "The magical (and lucky) Fairy Maneki Nekos of Spring are busy spreading good fortune and their brand of Zen amidst the spring blossoms. Green for good health & well being, Pink for luck in love and romance, and Purple in some circles is said to evoke the inner child and bring about happiness." Fairy Neko wings are painted with glitter giving them a magical ambience! Colors in the actual print are brighter than they appear in the scan.
The process for making these prints begins with original pen and ink art which is then scanned into the computer, it is assembled there and color and some special effects are added. The print is high quality color laser, details are then hand painted on with acrylic paint so no two of the prints are identical. Metallic gold and yellow acrylic has been used for the tiny blings in this piece and iridescent glitter has been used on the fairy wings which shine in the light! Each print is hand signed on the front and hand titled, signed, numbered, and dated (May 2009) on the back. This is number 5 of 18. The print itself measures 5" wide by 7" tall and it comes on an 8 x 10" piece of acid free 67 lb. Hammermill Card Stock. The watermark is not visible on the actual print. All reproduction rights to the prints remain with the artist.
Note card artwork is color laser printed on 67 lb. acid free cover stock. The card measures 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" and comes packaged in a protective plastic sleeve. Card inside is blank and it comes with a white envelope. Note Card artwork is taken from print #1 which will remain in my permanent collection.
