Baby Dolly Dingle and Billie Bumps. Dolly Dingle series. 12" Tall. Porcelain head and full arms and legs with soft body and music box inside. Original design were by Grace Drayton as Paperdolls for the Pictoral Review magazine 1913-1933. Many of the characters in Dingle Dell along with Billy and Kitty and others. As a girl the Ladies Home Journal magazine during the 1940's reprinted these paper dolls and I waited every month for my Mom's magazine to come so I could cut out the paper dolls and play with them. So when Bette Ball began designing these characters in porcelain dolls for House of Global Art the forerunner to Goebel Dolls, I began collecting them. Now the Babies need a new home. She comes dressed in her pink flannel Dr. Dentons with drop seat rear. And he in blue Dr. Dentons with drop rear seat. Her blonde curly tossel hair can be combed and she has dark blue googly glass eyes. She Plays "Braham's Lullaby". He has tossled brown hair and brown googly glass eyes. Plays "Mozart's Lullaby". She is Limited edition numbered she 323 of 5,000. He is limited edition 294 of 5,000. Made in 1983. Her hand tag is intact but has creases. No box or stands. Stock number 901013 and 901014. They would look very cute displayed in a baby doll cradle or doll playpen. House of Global Art forrunner to Goebel 1986.They came to me dusty and both pajama's have been washed and a missing snap on his replace. Excellent previously displayed condition. No chips, cracks or repairs. We have a non-smoking home. Not Suitable for children under 8 yr.
