There are 24, 6mm size, African Jade beads. African Jade is a trade name for a variety of natural grossularite stone commonly used in jewelry making in place of real jade.
African Jade has very similar opaque qualities and swirls of green found in real jade, but for a fraction of the cost. With this necklace, you get the expensive fashion look of jade at a much lower price!
This lovely necklace also has 12 howlite oval shaped beads. These beads have been dyed, but some of the natural whites and grays of the howlite are still visible among the swirls of pink.
You will also find, 3, 10mm size, natural serpentine round shaped beads. These are a lovely pale green color. Serpentine is sometimes refered to as "New Jade" or as "Serpentine Jade".
This beaded necklace also has antique looking gold finished bead caps and gold plated, double flower shaped, roundelle beads.
