Seller's Note: These bulbs are bright and have a very good color. They are a huge improvements from bulbs made ten years ago. LED's are high priced and have limited use as night lights since most have a blueish tint and are not bright. These bulbs power-up in a low power mode for about a 1/2 second before reaching their full brightness. This is called "pre-conditioning" and it helps extend the life of the bulb. Bulbs are flicker-free after the initial power-up. Don't be fooled by cheaper brands.
Case Study: I changed the bulbs in my 2700 sq feet house from incandescent bulbs to compact fluorescent light bulbs and I started using a front loading washer and line drying, my electricity usage dropped from 7800 KiloWatts to around 5000 KiloWatts per year. That's around $360 that I'm saving every year (PG&E, Northern California rates are about 13¢/KiloWatt if your usage is above the baseline). This doesn't include the savings from the longer life of these bulbs. (The front loading washing machine is also saving me about 20,000 gallons of water a year for a family of 4 or $65/yr.)
Insurance is optional $4.00 but recommended. The standard Fed Ex insurance fine print doesn't include light bulbs. If bought, then breakage will be covered at a prorated basis of the total amount paid. If I have bulbs in inventory and you have more than 5 bulbs broken, then you may choose to have new bulbs sent to you at no cost. If these are broken again, then I will refund you the prorated money. I need a picture of the broken bulbs within 5 business days of receipt. For DOA, I will need you to send the bulbs back within 5 days (you'll have to pay the postage for DOA). Unless you have purchased insurance, I can not be responsible for shipping damages.
