This is a nice large saucer, or side plate in the Colonial pattern. It is made of ironstone bu J & G Meakin England. A laurel pattern is located on the outer rim next to the embossed, and scalloped rim. It is brown on a cream color glazed finish. The victorian scene is of a village in England showing life as it once was. It has a green backstamp.
It was produced between ( 1851-present) (Member of Wedgewood Group) in Stoke, Staffordshire, England.
Condition: They are in good condition with scratches mostly in the center, and scratches around the area next to the laurel design. Judge by the photo's how it will look for display or use. No chips, cracks, discoloration, or repairs.
Measurements: The saucers are 6 7/8" across x 3/4" high.
Actual weight before packing is 8.8 oz. It will ship at 1lb.
I always use a new or good box plus plenty of bubble wrap, peanuts, and 2" packing tape. In my nearly 7 years of shipping I have not had a broken piece yet. But, Most of the handling depends on the postal carrier. I place fragile labels on the box to notify the carrier of the contents.
