This is a very nice elegant cup with a England crown by appointment to her majesty the queen china potters. England Reg' D. with a gold M, and a J. The flowers are located on both sides, and are the same, with the inside having a floral spray. This cup is outstanding with a nice shiny glaze. The gold trimming is located on the top edge, foot, both sides of the handle, and top. The bottom of the bowl is scalloped, with the upper part, and top edge having a slight scalloped design. The backstamp is very colorful, and clear.
It was made by the Paragon China ( co.) LTD. Longton, Staffordshire, England ca. 1957 + (1920-present) (Royal Doulton Tableware Ltd.)
UPDATE 1-08-2011--THIS BEAUTIFUL CUP HAD A SLIGHT ACCIDENT. NOW THERE IS A SLIVER CHIP ON THE TOP EDGE NEXT TO THE HANDLE, AND A CRACK THAT DEVELOPED GOING DOWN JUST PAST THE HANDLE. I WILL REPAIR THIS, AND IT WILL BE NOTICABLE ON CLOSE INSPECTION. THE PRICE HAS BEEN REDUCED FROM $ 19.99 TO $ 7.00. IT WILL NOW BE A WONDERFUL DISPLAY PIECE. THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME.
Condition: It is in new condition without any scratches, chips, cracks, discoloration, or repairs. The gold trimming on the top edge is in near mint condition with so very little not noticable wear. There is a very small little extra spot of china on the upper handle side. It is not felt when holding the cup.
Measurements: It is 3" high x 3 1/2" across not including the handle.
Actual weight before packing is 5.0 oz. It will ship at 1 lb.
I always use a new or good box plus plenty of bubble wrap, peanuts, and 2" packing tape. In my nearly 7 years of shipping I have not had a broken piece yet. But, Most of the handling depends on the postal carrier. I place fragile labels on the box to notify the carrier of the contents.
The insurance charge for this item is $ 1.70 and is not included in the stated shipping quote.
If insurance is not added to this order I cannot be responsible for damaged or lost items. You will recieve delivery confirmation. I use USPS for shipping and will use Parcel post for this item. This will help to keep the shipping charges down.
