This is a very nice dainty footed cup and saucer from England with beautiful maroon color around the edges 7/8" wide. It is made of Bone China with a crown marking of England. The floral design is of many colorful flowers, and is on the inside bottom half of the cup, and middle of the saucer. The elegant victorian stye handle is trimmed in gold on both sides, and end, with gold on the rim, and a thick band on the foot, plus on the middle of the inside and outside of the cup. The saucer has gold on the edge, and around the maroon band. There is two very small hairline scratches on the saucer, and one very small area on the maroon where the paint is missing next to the gold rim trim. The cup has three needle point size white places on the maroon band. The gold trim has a little wear also on both. They are still a very pretty set to have coffee or tea in, and you can enjoy watching the flowers show up as the beverage disappears. What a nice way to enjoy the morning or evening. A beautiful display piece to add with your finest china.
It was made by the Rosina Company in Longton, Staffordshire, England. Ca. 1946 + (1941-present)
No chips, cracks, repairs, or discoloration.
Measurements: The cup is 3 3/8" across not including the handle x 2 7/16" high not including the handle x 1 5/8" across the foot. The saucer is 5 1/2" across x 7/8" high.
Actual weight before packing is 7.5 oz. It will ship at 1.8 lbs.
I always use a new or good box plus plenty of bubble wrap, peanuts, and 2" packing tape. In my nearly 7 years of shipping I have not had a broken piece yet. But, Most of the handling depends on the postal carrier. I place fragile labels on the box to notify the carrier of the contents.
The insurance charge for this item is $ 1.70 and is not included in the stated shipping quote.
If insurance is not added to this order I cannot be responsable for damaged or lost items. You will recieve delivery confirmation. I use USPS for shipping and will use Parcel post for this item. This will help to keep the shipping charges down.
All international customers must contact me before a purchase is made for a shipping quote.
After an item has been paid for it will be shipped out within two business days. There is a small handing fee to help pay for the packing materials and fuel to go to the post office.
I have a hundred or so of china yet to list. Stay in touch to see my unique collection. Thank you for stopping by, and have a wonderful day.
