This is a nice vintage cup made in Burslem, Staffordshire, England. Backstamp is in black and blue colors. It is dated 1862-1964 +. The glaze finish and crisp colors are outstanding. When tapped it rings like crystal glass. It is made of Fine Bone China with the crown marking of England. The gold trimming is in wonderful condition without any wear, and could be considered in mint condition. The cup has a blue flower with little yellow ones surrounding it. The top has a gold scalloped edge, with gold on the handle, and footed base. No scratches, chips, cracks, repairs or discoloration.
Measurements: The cup is 3 3/8" across the top not including the handle x 2 7/8" high.
Actual weight before packing is 4.7 oz. It will ship at 1 lb.
I always use a new or good box plus plenty of bubble wrap, peanuts, and 2" packing tape. In my nearly 7 years of shipping I have not had a broken piece yet. But, Most of the handling depends on the postal carrier. I place fragile labels on the box to notify the carrier of the contents.
The insurance charge for this item is $ 1.70 and is not included in the stated shipping quote.
