This wonderful vintage Art Pottery bowl is decorated in the delft tradition. It features a beautifully detailed windmill scene on the front and a sailing ship on the back. The scenes are in shades of blue on a cream background, accented with blue trim around the top rim and base. It is from the estate of an elderly lady.
The bowl measures approx. 3 1/4 inches high and 5 1/8 inches in diameter. It is unmarked. There are one or two of the usual tiny pinhead glaze pops done during the manufacturing. There is one tiny fleabite on the bottom foot of approx. 1/16 inch. There is some shelf wear on the bottom foot and a bit of very light crazing to be expected in pieces of this age. One tightly closed crack approx. 2 inches cannot be photographed or easily seen, only felt with fingernail. No chips or other issues. Very clean inside and out, with vivid, unfaded colors and a nice high glaze. It does not look as if it was ever used for anything but display. A great accent or serving piece!

Sales are subject to prior sale. All sales are final. Your item comes from a Smoke-Free home. I am not an expert but do my best to describe in detail. Please understand that vintage and antique items, although they may be in great condition, are still not new, and may have the usual imperfections that come with age. Please contact me before bidding or purchasing as I am happy to answer your questions.
I am located in a remote rural area and only go to the bank a few times a year, so I’m sorry that I cannot take checks or money orders. Payment by is due at close of sale. Failure to pay within 5 days may result in negative feedback and item being relisted.
I ship within the U.S.A. only, no APO/FPO please. Buyer pays shipping, handling, and insurance if desired. If shipping and handling charges are not specified, please email me with your zip code and the item you are interested in and I will give you a quote. Your item will be shipped USPS Priority Mail only, which includes free tracking and delivery confirmation. Sorry I am not set up to ship by other methods or to other countries. Handling includes the cost of bubble wrap and supplies.
I do my best to pack well and still keep costs down. Please remember that glass and pottery items can be quite heavy. I will combine shipping wherever possible to save you money, but this is at my discretion, depending on the box and item sizes and weights, for instance I can’t ship delicate porcelain with heavy pottery. Insurance is highly recommended as I cannot be responsible for loss or breakage done in the mail.
