WHAT A FIND. What seems to be an almost complete set of Ivory Pyralin DuBerry with Travel Vanity Case. 1920s-1930s. No Monogram. Lovingly used by my friends grandmother who left it to her 25 plus years ago. She has asked me to help sell it (and other items) to raise capitol to start up a new business or it would not be offered up for sale at all. The 22 piece set will need a light cleaning. And we have not tryed the clock.
Items marked "Ivory Puralin DuBerry" or "Ivory Py-Ra-Lin" or "French Ivory"
Clock stands almost 5 3/4 " tall and the foot is about 4 1/2" x 1 3/4". The face of the clock reads "Made By The New Haven Clock Co. U.S.A.". It does not work at this time. Over wound, but it looks like it can be taken out and repaired. Makers mark is in great readable shape.
Small octagon cup stands almost 2 5/8" tall. The in sized makers mark has lost most of the black (paint/enamel?). A tiny fleabites on inside of lip. No other signs of cracks, dings or chips. A tiny stain on inside bottom.
Trinket box with a ring holder. Red lining. At widest points almost 6 1/4" x 4 1/2". A fleabites on the front left base but no other signs of chips, dings or cracks. The makers mark is in good readable shape.
This little glass lined jar, pot, pillbox stands about 1" tall by 1 1/2". I stained on the inside and a minor flaw at the seam. This one is marked "Ivory DuBarry Py-Ra-Lin". the other glass lined jar has no makers mark.
This is my favorite piece, a toothbrush holder. It is 2 1/4" long. I have not forced the lid open all the way in fear of breaking it. It's makers mark is missing all the black enamel/paint. No cracks, dings or outside stains. There are flaws at the bottom where the handle of the toothbrush slides thru.
Tray is 11 1/2" x 8 1/4" x 5/8". the black paint/enamel is also missing. No cracks, dings or stains.
