The Artist:

John McClelland was born and educated in Georgia and completed his art training with the noted painter and teacher Jerry Farnsworth.


Mr. McClelland has a national reputation as a portraitist. His commissions have taken him all over the world. In 1977, McClelland added another dimension to his accomplishments when he created his first collector’s plate series, the highly successful World of Children Collection. In 1979, the Mother Goose series was introduced which has won many awards for the artist and Reco. John McClelland resides in picturesque Connecticut.
