The front of the kit says: ‘The Little Brown Church in the Vale, immortalized in song back in 1864, still stands on Route 346, near Nashua, Iowa. Carol and Don Henning have designed an authentic, needlework portrait of the church in nostalgic fashion, taking artistic license only with the delicate birch trees and the flowery path. Enclosed in this kit is a color picture of the actual church as it stands today, with a copy of the song, “Church in the Wildwood.”’ It also says: Designed to fit a frame size 16” by 20”. This kit contains stamped picture on superb homespun (54% rayon, 30% cotton, 16% flax), approx 20” x 24”, 100% acrylic yarn, needle and complete easy to follow instructions and diagram, including most popular stitches. For best results in embroidering this picture, fabric should be stretched.
