The book has an introduction, which is written in English, and is quite a few pages long. The main part of the book is comprised of Plates by Honore Daumier, which portray the humorous side of married life. They are black and white illustrations with French titles at the bottom. They are excellent quality. The plates do not list the English translation under the French titles. However, the ‘Notes’ section at the end gives an English title and some further information about each plate.
The book has 161 pages. The paper in this book is on the heavy side. This is a large, heavy book. This book is in good vintage condition. The book does not look like it was ever read, or even opened much. The pages of the book are in excellent condition. This book has a dust jacket, which is covered by a protective clear plastic dust jacket. There is wear to the clear plastic dust jacket. It has scratching, and some residue on it. The corners of the plastic dust jacket have tears in them. The dust jacket underneath the plastic cover has minor creasing along the top and bottom edges of it. Inside the front page of the book, there is a partial price sticker. The side and bottom outside edges of the book pages are discolored. They have some brown discolored areas on them.
