Each type of ornament is shown in a variety of settings suggesting possibilities galore for both the traditional and the contemporary garden.’ The book flap continues on to say that of special interest is the chapter on ornaments and accessories of the Japanese gardens, and that there is an extensive section on Sculpture.
This is a wonderful book. I really enjoyed the photos of sculpture in the garden. There is also a chapter on fences and gates, walks and paths and one on water in the garden. There is also a chapter on weathervanes.
Overall, this book is in very good condition. The book does not look like it was ever read, or even opened much. However, the first page of the book is cut in half vertically. For some reason, the right hand side of the page was cut off. The dust jacket of the book has some minor wear to it. The corners are bumped. There is a rip on the top of the book near the spine, which was neatly repaired with tape. There is another rips in the back of the dust jacket. There is minor creasing along the outside edges of the book cover.
