The label in the coat says: Harris Tweed Handwoven 100% Pure Scottish Wool. Dyed, Spun, Handwoven and finished in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland, Tailored in the USA.
The coat is made of a pretty hand woven wool, with blue, purple, and dark moss green tones in it. I love the fabric that this coat is made out of. I think the colors are just gorgeous, and look very nice together.
There is no size label in the coat. The coat measures approximately 21.5 inches across the front, from underarm to underarm. Please take note of this measurement, to determine if the coat is the size you are looking for.
This coat looks as if it has been very gently worn, however there are two buttons not attached to the coat. I have one of the missing buttons, which still leaves the coat short one button. One of the remaining buttons has clearly been re-sewn on with a lighter color of thread. The inside lining of the coat is slightly strained at one of the underarm areas. The lining has pulled away from the seam at this area. The separation is not as a result of a separation in the seam; the lining has pulled away and torn right at the seam area. There are also two nearby holes in the lining, where the fabric has started to shred from strain. Please take note of this and do not bid if it is a concern. The coat has a notched collar, and buttons up the front. The buttons appear to be made out of plastic. There are two buttons missing off of the coat. I have one of the buttons, but there is still one missing. However, the buttons could easily all be changed, including the two on the back self fabric attached partial belt on the coat. The buttons are nothing special. They are plastic, and not all that attractive to begin with, so updating the buttons might be a good idea anyway. The coat has two front slash pockets, which have flaps over them. The coat has an attached self fabric attached partial belt on the back of it.
