On Hold St. John Collection Santana Knit Cardigan Sweater S

This listing is for a St. John Collection by Marie Gray sweater jacket or cardigan sweater. Please take note that there are a few flaws in this sweater.

The gold hardware, including the buttons, has very light scratching on it. There is a small area on one side of the cardigan, above the pocket flap, which looks like a small knitting irregularity, that could be a small hole, or turn into a small hole. One of the shoulder pads has a few very light streaks on it. The streaks are color loss to the fabric. Please take note of this and do not bid if it is a concern.

This sweater is the Santana knit. The color is a green tone, with navy blue accents. This is a very attractive and classy sweater. The colors look nice together. The sweater does not button up the front. It has one hook and eye closure, which is hooked in the photo of the sweater. The sweater has gold hardware accenting. The navy ribbing along the outside front edge of the sweater has gold round hardware accents on it. There are two navy colored flaps at the bottom front of the sweater. Each of the flaps has a gold button on it. These buttons do not have the St John logo on them. The gold hardware, including the buttons, has very light scratching on it. This scratching is not noticeable, in my opinion. There is no color loss to any of the hardware. The top navy flap is decorative. The bottom navy flap is the top of a pocket, which buttons with one of the buttons.

This sweater has been pre-owned, but does not look as if it has been worn. There were some stains on the shoulder pads, which may have been transferred to the fabric from a wooden coat hanger. This sweater has been dry cleaned. The stains came out completely, although one of the shoulder pads was left with a few very light streaks on it. The streaks are color loss to the fabric. They are lighter in color than the rest of the shoulder pad. The streaks are barely noticeable, in my opinion. There is a photograph of this in the listing, although I don’t know how visible it will be in the photograph. The dry cleaners safety pinned their tags to the St John logo, so it has two safety pin holes in it. There is a small flaw on one side of the cardigan, above the pocket flap, at the area of the pocket flap nearest to the side seam. There is what looks like a small knitting irregularity. From the front, it looks like there is a slightly wider than normal area between the rows of stitching. The area is not smooth where the flaw is; it looks like a slight indentation. While looking at the area, it does not have the look of a hole, but when I held this area up to the sunlight, and it does look like it could be the makings of a small hole, since a few of the fabric yarns are thinning and look like they might be ready to let go. So evidently, this could either be a small hole, or have the potential to turn into one. It looks like it could be easily stitched up with some matching colored thread. I am not really sure how to describe this flaw, but it did catch my eye. There is a close up photograph of this in the listing, although I don’t know how visible the flaw will be in the photograph. The photo after the close up photograph shows the flaw in relation to the pocket flap. It is several inches above the side of the pocket flap that is closest to the side seam of the sweater. Please take note of this and do not bid if it is a concern.
