This vintage c1970 ring is patterned after an actual cigar band. The original hayday of cigars and bands and their advertising was 1890 to 1920. Many beautiful bands with truly diverse subject matter were created. This gold plated ring depicts a cigar band with tropical fish art. The ring is decorated with glass enamel. The fish is decorated with black and white enamel against a background of green enamel. A blue scallop decorates the edge. The ring is signed on the inside of the band, but I can't quite make it out. Very good condition.
